Role: Solo designer under direction of Josh Owen, Vignelli Center director.
Brief: Design a series of posters for the Design Conversations lecture series, presented by the Vignelli Center for Design Studies. The series brings design giants like Debbie Millman, Theresa Fitzgerald, and Antenna Design to the RIT campus.
Solution: Referencing several modernist designers through a concise visual approach, this poster series is inspired by the ‘spark’ of inspiration that may be gained from attending this lecture series, the length of each line represents how each attendee may take away something different from each speaker. Each poster’s mark is representative in some way to their career or something they have created.

Inspiration, sketches, early iterations of the poster.
Role: Two-person design team (shoutout to my partner in crime, Jolie Greco!) alongside the show's production team.
Brief: Using an existing branding system, create cohesive branding and promotional material for the 2024 Beyond Fashion show with the theme On the Table.
Solution: The 2024 Beyond Fashion show pays tribute to Vignelli designs that exist on the tabletop. We created a modular asset system inspired by iconic Vignelli designs and a color scheme inspired by the Heller mug by Vignelli, to create a minimal yet vibrant and recognizable branding system with a focus on form and color, allowing the creative approaches to wearable design on the runway to be the focal point.

Student Club.
Student Club.
Role: Solo designer alongside Josh Owen, director, and founding members of RIT's Vignelli Center Student Club.
Brief: Design a logo that represents the club carrying on the legacy and philosophy of the Vignellis through examination and discourse.
Solution: The arrow, pulled from the Vignelli's iconic New York City Subway map, pulls double duty by also representing the way the club moves forward the Vignelli ethos.

Archival Book Design.
Another huge undertaking by the dynamic duo that is myself and Jolie Greco (dare I say, the Dream Team?). Together, we produced 9 books: 4 annual reports, 3 editions of the Beyond Fashion book series, the 2024 Summer Design Workshop in partnership with the Corning Museum of Glass, and a book detailing the Bookends project by Wendell Castle and Josh Owen.
Jolie had a larger role in the design of several of these books, while I functioned more in a production role, but these books are the product of a lot of collaboration, working out the kinks of several new and existing templates. I also got to write content for a couple of the Annual Reports as well as for the Beyond Fashion book series. We had to track down a lot of the content ourselves, which meant a lot of cold-calling and cold-emailing, sometimes to no avail.
In working together, I discovered a love for book design and also got a chance to really dive deep into InDesign. Now we get along like gangbusters.
